Motorola A925 Mobile phone review
The Motorola A925 model is a step up from the A920. It has Bluetooth
technology and infrared wireless connectivity wheras the A920 does
not. It combines mobile phone, PC, still and video camera, arcade,
MP3 music and PDA capabilities and supports the "Locate"
services from 3 - A to B, Quick Map and Find.
On request it can work out where you are in Britain and then display
your location on a clear, easy to read map using the Motorola A925
high resolution screen. Also you can type in a destination address
such as a postcode and "A to B" will give you a straightforward
map and direction on how to get there.
With this phone you can send text, your pictures or voice clips
by MMS or e-mail to any other e-mail address to another Motorola
A925, or to another MMS-capable phone.
It supports all of 3's video mobile services: video calling, video
messaging & download video clips and you can download &
watch 3's exclusive Premier League football clips in widescreen.
You also get high speed data transfer whilst on the 3G network
PDA functions include email, handwriting recognition, calendar
& synchronisation with PC
A few other interesting features of the A925 are:
Improved standby battery performance.
'Unlocked' operating system for download of 3rd party applications
authored specifically for the A925.
Tri-band: works in the USA, 2 & 2.5G.
32Mb card supplied which is expandable (phone has 8Mb internal memory).
We were really impressed with the quality of the integrated camera
and because it is rotating it can be used for both taking pictures
and video calling
Another point worth mentioning is that Motorola pulled out all
the stops on the TFT screen display. It can show 65k colours and
at 4x6 cm with a resolution of 208x320 pixels is a large high res
screen that really impresses. Add to this the fact that it is a
touch screen which makes text input and menu navigation simple makes
it really hard to fault.
This phone is a bit hungry on batteries but we found that it generally
ships with 2 chargers and 2 batteries
